| Hey all, Some of you have been wondering why I was so silent during the happy hours at the Fayre... Well, here is exposed the cause of that taciturnity : while Diana is dancing endlessly for her daily, overpowered Prayer XP, I'm also working hard on my OSRS Hardcore Ironwoman account. Let me introduce you to the Queen of Irkalla : Nin IrkallaAchievementsI made some decent progress on this secondary account of mine lately, thanks to the relative AFKness of the Fayre's Prayer activity : - Here are the Queen's stats : I guess I've been pretty efficient, given the small amount of time (about five days) I've spent on this account so far : - I acquired the best melee gear available to a F2P Hardcore Ironwoman (which is pretty costly, and I can tell you it's hard to earn some GP's as a F2P ironman! lol) : I own a rune med helm, a rune platebody, rune platelegs, a rune sword and a mithril sq shield (yes, this is the best shield available until you can smith a better one!). Technically, I could go and slay some greater demons in order to obtain a rune full helm, but I chose not to take that risk as a Hardcore Ironwoman. - I own the full green d'hide set as well (as you can see on my character's picture) - I also did all F2P quests (40 quest points); I did Dragon Slayer with stats as low as 40 Attack, 35 Strength and 33 Defence, which was quite a stressful, nerve racking challenge as a Hardcore Ironwoman. Note : I drew on this incredibly well thought out guide in order to get all quests done as soon as possible : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1APkwiTxSWLlH3varlPeJ2rbyegQb3IDrfoXVX0fRlVE/edit. This guide indeed provides a perfectly planned path to finish all quests in a conveniently orderly manner, while raising some skills and gathering all needed items along the way. I highly recommend this guide to anyone who would like to start a fresh OSRS Ironman account. Future goals- My primary goal now is to reach level 70 in Crafting, so as to be able to craft an Amulet of Power (which will prove useful to continue raising my combat stats). This implies mining a boatload of silver ores! - I am also aiming for total level 750, so as to be allowed to enter World 385 (in OSRS, two servers require a specific total level in order to be accessed; this measure was taken to provide "bot-free" worlds to F2P players). - I'm thinking of assembling a Skull Sceptre soon (how cool would this look with my Hardcore Ironwoman armour, heh? And the Queen of Irkalla definitely needs a sceptre, an austere mark of dark royalty!) >>> Sceptre assembled! After two hours of slaying green cows (yes, the third part of the Skull Sceptre is very rare in OSRS... T_T), the Queen has received her dismal Sceptre! I also had the Skull Sceptre imbued by Solzton, the SoS spirit, while I was at it!

| Thanks Tree! ^^ Well, this account was intended to be a secondary, minor account, made just for fun and to play on while doing some AFK skilling on Divine Diana (looking at you, Smithing!). Yet, I must say that I kinda enjoy the hardship of being a F2P ironwoman in an old game whose normal mode already feels pretty tedious! haha I don't think I will ever reach any level 99 on this account, but I'll keep playing on it as long as I have fun doing so. As I said, this account is, and will remain, an alternative account that I play on alongside my beloved RS3 Ironwoman. |

| Looking good Have you ever tried killing Obor? I heard that he drops a rune kiteshield, battleaxe, and potentially even a rune 2h! Very nice stats for 4 days though, that's hella impressive! |

| I currently own 9 giant keys, but I never dared to enter Obor's lair. I'm a scaredy cat, and I try to avoid any risky fight at all costs. Although Obor's drops are most certainly alluring, I'm afraid that giant could crush poor Nin in a couple of seconds! Haha |

| By the way Di, if you're looking for a chat that's specifically OSRS f2p ironman when you're playing on Nin, there's one that's just started up recently called 'f2p iron', that could probably do with some support. I don't think any existed before that one, at least, lots of bumps of my thread trying to find out if there was one on the RS forums only came up with one reply from 'Hero of God' to say he was going to make one. He later pm'd me in game to say it was up and running.
It's an old style clan by the way, so of course uses the FC system (which they still call 'cc'). Confusing for we RS3ers! lol |

| Well, there is the friends chat called "W 385" which is a pretty popular gathering place for all f2p ironmen. But I could definitely have a go at this newer, more intimate friends chat. Less people means less fighting for Diana, amirite? |

| Lol Di. Tell Hero I sent you. I said I'd send along any OSRS f2p irons from our FC looking for a more suitable chat. I'd be quite interested to know how they're getting on too. Always exciting to see new enterprises pick up from small beginnings and a nice chance for you to be part of that on Nin too! |

| Maybe some of you play OSRS (and OSRS' ironman mode) as well, and I need some advice from you guys. There is a general consensus among players of this retro version of our favourite game : Runecrafting in F2P (more surely in F2P ironman) is a drudgery of a skill, nay a real torture. Hence, I came up with an interesting method for training runecrafting aside fishing/cooking. Here is how it works; please tell me if you deem this method useful and efficient :
- As you may know, in OSRS, there is a permanent fire near the fishing spots in Barbarian Village; my idea was to fish/cook there until your energy is restored to 100%.
- Then, run to Edgeville's bank, deposit your fish (keep your feathers and fly fishing rod, of course!) and withdraw some rune essence. Make sure you're also wearing the body tiara on your head!
- Next step : run to the body altar and craft some body runes.
- Finally, run back to the Lum river and resume fishing/cooking until your energy bar is filled again, so you're ready for another body-runecrafting trip.
Note : mining and banking ess for crafting body runes, along with mining ess and crafting earth runes straightaway, are the two most efficient methods for training runecrafting in f2p ironman. Moreover, crafting such runes yourself makes Magic essentially free : curse-splashing, which relies on both earth and body runes, is one of the cheapest and most efficient way of training Magic on your self-sufficient account. Get yourself a staff of water, and your Magical learnings will be absolutely free of cost! |

| Hey Di how can I make money on OSRS as an iron? I just need a little to buy at least a steel hatchet, food, and a lobster pot. Also the general store seems to give me nothing for my logs like RS3 seems to do, and I would appreciate it if you could explain how the shop system works on OSRS. The money from SOS is out of the question as it requires me to authenticate my account, and that would be an inconvenience for me at this point in time. What if I lose my phone?! Gosh it was hard enough undoing my authenticator on my non iron, I don't want to have to go through that again. So I'd much prefer a skilling method to making money. My highest skill is 10 woodcutting, so I would really appreciate your help so I can buy better quality stuff, I don't want to be stuck mining with a bronze pickaxe forever! Thanks Di |

| I actually used the free 10k from SoS to get my early equipment, but, if you merely need like 1-2k gp's, you can still do some noob quests like Pirate's Treasure and Shield of Arrav.
However, the undisputed best way to make money as a F2P (hc) iron/ult in OSRS, while also training efficiently, is to craft holy symbols : general stores indeed buy them for ~ 80 coins each. The technique for selling them is simple : go to a general store, sell five symbols, hop world, sell five symbols, hop world, etc. This is the method I used to buy my rune pickaxe and armour. If you don't have the required crafting level to make symbols (these require level 30 crafting if I'm not mistaken), you can train melee and ranged on cows (up to level 20), collect the cowhides, and craft/sell some leather equipment : this should bring you a few thousands gp's for your early equipment and gear. Note that crafting gold amulets (u) works fine as well for money, but these aren't efficient at all for training crafting, so I wouldn't recommend making them.
The second best method is to smith and sell iron platebodies (doing The Knight's Sword quest will instantly bring you to level 29 in Smithing). You can draw on the same method as the one used for holy symbols : go to Horvik's shop in Varrock (as a platebodies-seller, he offers higher prices than general stores) sell five platebodies, hop world, repeat the process. However, I would work on Crafting first, since you need a magic, strength and power amulet as soon as possible in order to train your combat skills efficiently.
A third method, provided that you're not a Hardcore Ironwoman, is to go to the steel platebodies spawn in the Wilderness : pick one steel platebody, hop world, pick another one, repeat till your inventory is full and sell them to the Bandit Camp's shop.

| Thanks Mat. It was quite burdensome to slay so many catablepons, but I think it was worth the trouble : the imbued sceptre is such a cool item to own as a hcim! |
