Happy fifth anniversary F2pIronmanFC! To mark this momentous occasion, and celebrate all the wonderful people who have met, mingled and made merry in the friends chat over the years, the current FC Mod team and CA team thought it would be good to take a trip down memory lane and post a history of the FC, with some of the notable happenings, good and bad, and the many laughs we've had in the first five years of our existence.

We'll kick things off with the wonderful creation above by Syta, one of our current CA teamies, showing just a few of the lovely things people have said about our FC over time (yes, we've been secretly hoarding up your casual compliments!).

Keep reading down through the next eight posts below to get the full story!

History of F2pIronmanFC

Tree created her first iron account, Arbre de Vie, not long after ironman mode came out. Looking for a friends chat where she could learn about the mode and get some support in the early days, she tried typing  ‘Ironman’ into the ‘Join an FC’ window in game and found one that was frequented mainly by OSRS players. This was an unregulated chat with no ranks, abandoned by its original creator and left to its own devices. It was mainly full of players who had simply come across it the same way that Arbre had.

Searching the RS forums for a chat that met the needs of RS3 F2P players more helpfully, Tree failed to find anything, so eventually decided to create F2PIronmanFC in January 2015. The FC continued for quite a few months with just four or five regulars holding the fort and was often found empty at any one time. The RS Forums recruitment thread was created and bumped regularly though, and that, along with word of mouth by the few who used the FC in the early days, gradually caused it to grow. All players who were regulars in the FC were given a smiley face in FC at that time, so that new players joining could be more readily identified and welcomed.

Approaching 2016 the need for more people to keep an eye on the chat when in the FC when Tree was offline started to become apparent so she asked a few of the regulars if they would mind helping out with that.

As the FC grew and all but one (Kaiser Zose) of the first few players who had originally been ranked when the FC was in infancy, gave up playing, the need for suitable Moderators and a more formal structure for moderating the FC became apparent. Our offsite forum was created in February 2016 to facilitate this. Guidelines were created for behaviour in FC and for moderation, and the desired attributes sought in proposed new FC Moderators were also formalised. Matko was one of the first to join the team in its new more stable phase, and on Matko’s recommendation, Mat Mase was also recruited to the team soon afterwards. Apazos (who some time later unexpectedly stopped playing) was also a much respected and active member of our FC Mod team then, and Mirai Leah was invited on his recommendation.

Our own forums were also the main focus of out of game interaction for our FC users then. Though much of the social interaction that once happened on our forums, now takes place in our Discord channels, our forums are still used as a way of making lasting and easily locatable records, for example of personal achievements, game tips/guides, poems for HCIM deaths etc. To date we have 179 accounts registered there.

When the friends list of the FC Account became full (at that time only 100 players were allowed to be added to a f2p’s friends list), managing the smiley faces became more and more of a chore - working out which players could be removed to make room for new players and having to access the FC account frequently in order to do that. To cut down on the maintenance involved, all smiley faces were removed completely, leaving only Gold star ranks for Tree on both her Arbre de Vie and Treemaid accounts, and silver star ranks for FC Moderators. It was a sad time not to see so many happy ‘faces’ in FC, but was a necessary change for a large and ever growing FC.

From the start of having our own forums, the leadership style of the FC developed into an informal system where the FC Mod team were consulted about any proposed changes or suggestions, then Tree would make a decision after having taken those views into consideration. For a large FC though, this was starting to feel too much of a one person show, so in January 2017 Tree invited Mat Mase/Mueez to join her in equal partnership as FC Coordinator, which he kindly agreed to take on. Mat also then joined her with a gold star marker in FC to reflect the change in his role.

In February 2017 IM Hezeh, one of our FC Mods at that time, created our first FC Discord channel. Some months later however Hezeh ceased to be active himself, and we needed to create a new Discord channel that we could adapt to suit our changing needs. Florisvbelle set us up with one in May 2017, which is the one that we use to this day.

In March 2017, recognising the importance to our FC users of the social interaction aspect of the FC, a new FC team role, that of ‘Community Activist’ (CA) was created. The CA team’s role was to encourage the social and community aspects of the FC, in whatever ways the individuals in it felt personally drawn to.  Organising events, activity on our forums or in our Discord channel, liaising and cooperating with other RS chats/clans with whom we shared something in common, or simply being a convivial presence in the FC chat itself, were some of the areas our CA team were involved with.  CA teamies were given three stripes in FC to identify them, though both teams were equally valued in terms of the contributions they made to the FC. Some, though not all, of the FC Mod team were also involved in the CA team.

The FC has had its particular challenges over the years. One of the main ones was the stance on P2P chat in FC, which had proved to be a very controversial topic and was often the cause of ill-feeling or bickering in the FC chat. Initially, we had a ‘keep p2p chat to a miniumum’ rule, but found that the vagueness of that which was open to individual interpretation wasn’t working in practice. That led to a change in policy to disallow any P2P game related chat whatsoever, which though to many with P2P accounts who frequented our FC, seemed rather extreme, did result in a marked lessoning of the arguments that were happening over that emotive issue. Autumn Roses, one of our FC regulars, who was a P2P iron player herself, created a sideline clan chat for our P2P FC users to guest in, ‘P2pironmancc’, which enabled them to both remain in our FC and to talk to each other about p2p content whilst guesting in that cc. That chat still exists currently, but is not moderated by the FC in anyway.

Another challenge that was faced was a rather worrying period when a significant number of our HCIM FC users were getting ‘pk’ed and losing their accounts. At that time, there were quite a few of us who had created new ‘wildy only’ hcim accounts, enjoying playing that style together and skiling in the wilderness together, a style of playing which Matko thought up and inspired some of us to try too. Most of those accounts were lost to a pker at around the same time, and it later conspired that those deaths were from the actions of one player who had been frequenting our FC on alts in order to track them down. That changed the atmosphere of trust within the chat permanently and gave us all a wake- up call about being cautious who we told when we were playing in the wilderness. To this day, we still caution our FC users not to assume that every player who may be in FC will have their best interests at heart when it comes to wilderness activities.

Which brings us to a tradition that has developed over the years, of remembering and honouring our FC dead HCIMs with a poem. The full collection of poems, names and causes of deaths can be found here:

https://f2pironmanfc.forumotion.co.uk/t144-in-memoriam-hcim-deaths

Khalligor was the first of our regulars to die on a hardcore account, and his poem, though simple, was the first of many to come:

O Khalligor, your praise will soar
Though death has laid you low,
‘Twas Toofy dealt with ill intent
That sickening,  fatal blow.

Tis true you died, yet not in vain,
We will remember thee;
‘Twas you who fought to end the raid
For Gielenor to be free!

Thankfully though, the difficult times and the sad times, were few and far between. The lasting impression from the last five years, has been one of friendships, a huge amount of fun, and selfless time given to support each other in our game play, and even occasionally in our real life struggles too. Read on below for some of the highlights of the last five years: events, funny stories, FC 'in' jokes: all the magic, mayhem and marvel that is F2pIronmanFC!

F2pIronmanFC Past Events

These are just a few of the many events we have had over the last five years. A big thank you to Florisvbelle for researching and collating this section.

F2PIronmanFC's Second Anniversary:

An in game presentation ceremony, awarded many of our regular FC users with titles, which were added to their names on our offsite forums.
-Treemaid received the title of Gullible, on account of her falling for so many jokes.
-Mirai Leah received the title of Scaredy-Cat, on account of her fear for the wildy.
-There were more titles given out, such as Chatterbox (Florisvbelle), Social Butterfly, Quick Chatter, Die Hard, Gadabout, Wrong Chatter, and so on. We gathered in the Jolly Boar in and held the party there.

F2PIronmanFC's Third Anniversary:

We gathered in the Blue Moon inn, all dressed as Wizards. We spent the evening as normal people do with magical abilities and consumed too much alcohol, set half of Varrock on fire, then made a break for it. Items were sought, found and brought to Florisvbelle, our resident hide and seek expert. At the end of it we wrote the word IRONMAN in fires in Fallador Square.

F2P random hide and seek events:

Generally kickstarted by Floris. Typically clues would be given and the first one to find the hider then hid themselves for the next round.

F2P Trivia Quiz:

Organised by Mat Mase.

F2P/Elderberries Spooktober:

Spooky version of hide and seek, ghostly trivia quiz by Captain, a fashion show by CaptainMonro, Sulbaen and Ancyga, a race to the top of Draynor Manor and telling scary stories to one another in the Manor.

https://imgur.com/a/dRLi0vD

F2P Beach Events:

People gathering en masse at the beach, sometimes lounging around on deckchairs chatting.

F2P Drop Parties and impromptu dance-offs:

Generally drops of rare item tokens after holiday events, from our iron accounts to our non-iron accounts using the party room, often followed by a synchronised dance!

F2P Wintumber:

Our resident artist extraordinaire, Mat, has taken to creating wonderful pictures for us to wish us all seasonal joys, one of which can be seen here:

F2P Karaokes:

In the Discord, usually instigated by Florisvbelle.

Spontaneous F2P Giant Mole Events.

F2P Terrorbird Convoy:

Because Tree just rocks those trousers.

F2P Pumpkin Carving Contest:

99 Parties:

A few notable ones being Mat getting nine 99s on Mueez (though possibly one or two were got a day early, in keeping with Mat’s tradition of accidently levelling his 99s!):

And a noteworthy addition to that Hall of Fame, who is way too modest to blow his own trumpet, our very own Mat Mase! Mat has been a co-leader of the FC for the last three years and his enthusiasm, commitment, wisdom, and technical knowledge have aided us significantly on so many occasions that I can't begin to list them all. On top of his commitments here, he also runs an active clan, and is a Moderator of the 'F2P Hub' on Discord. His RuneScape achievements are remarkable too; he has been in the top 3-8 players on the HCIM F2P highscores for the past few years! Well known and respected in the F2P community, he is liked by all!

Moving on, the regulars of F2PironmanFC have had many a laugh together both in the FC and in Discord over the years. The posts below give a taster of some of those hilarious happenings, and explain some of the ‘in-jokes’ that keep popping up again in our chats!

PostSubject: Re: F2pIronmanFC History Thread - The first five years!   F2pIronmanFC History Thread - The first five years! EmptySun Jan 26, 2020 3:54 am

It began as an unremarkable day in Gielinor that fateful September day in 2018 when two pals, Arrostil and Linkfan955, went mining a fallen star in the deserted wilderness by the rune rocks. It was in the olden days, before runite was as easy to get as a splinter on a wooden slide; the days when each ore cost agonizingly long seconds or minutes of laborious pickaxe swinging, with grunts of exertion and sweat dripping off brows. They loaded their bags with the rune ore when they saw it, and dug away at the star when runite was scarce. They mined freely and casually, each of them enjoying the company of a friend in the cold, lonely wilderness -- until the wilderness got a little less lonely. Suddenly, they were under attack by a pker armed to the teeth, and Linkfan, only prepared for mining, and much too nice to kill anyone anyway, fell to the ground, spilling his ores for the pker to greedily snatch up.

The two friends (mainscape accounts of Arcane Trail and ironlinkfan and members of the kind and loyal community that inhabits the famously awesome f2pironmanFC) alerted the friend chat to their woeful experience. Immediately, hardcore ironman Mat Mase leaped to his mainscaper Mueez to exact revenge on behalf of Linkfan, with Mirai Leah hot on his heels on her mainscaper Squat18. The powerful Mueez bound and blasted the ruthless killer to death before Squat even arrived. And so the four members of the friend chat moderating team found themselves all together with nothing to do, a rarity when most people stay focused on the skill grind that is integral to life in Gielinor.

They spent a bit of time hanging out in the deep wild, chatting together and chilling, without spotting anyone else. One by one, the wilderness overtook their good senses and the normally peaceful friends developed that undeniable glint of bloodlust in their eyes. They made plans to search for victims and slaughter the masses. Or maybe just some bots, because let’s be honest, they’re all friendly, compassionate people. Except for that Mirai Leah -- she’s a little sketchy sometimes.

Spirits and camaraderie were high among the four friends as they struck out for the wilderness volcano to satisfy their killer urges and do their part in helping rid Gielinor of pesky cursed energy bots. They were happy and surprised to find not only bots, but another actual person! And he was wearing full rune! The poor fellow didn’t know what hit him as four high leveled killers loomed over him and made quick work of his good health. The friends all congratulated each other and began smashing bots. All was going well as the group happily slayed the dirty little cheaters, when the unthinkable happened. Two white dots appeared on the map. Mueez’s sharp eyes recognized one as their hapless victim from some time earlier and he snapped to action, but everyone else had already forgotten the incident. Were they there to kill bots? Were they there to team up and attack the peaceful group with rusty pking skills? Or would they have been intimidated by the group's strength in numbers and left quietly? We may never know. The arrival of the two set in motion a chain of events that no one will ever fully understand, other than they ended in complete carnage.

All at once, the one-hit deaths of the level 3 bots blipping around the volcano changed to destructive, heavy strikes that released shots of adrenaline and sped up heart rates. What was happening? How were these two pkers wreaking such havoc among the strong and armored FC mods? Tense seconds passed, and one by one, the group found themselves flabbergasted and defeated in Edgeville. Mueez fell first, and had the presence of mind to race back to the scene of the crime to recover his items, either by scavenging or by force. Squat was next, arriving alone and stunned into such a stupor, she just stood behind Edgeville bank, trying to figure out what had just happened. While there, she noticed something she couldn’t explain. Checking the log of whatever chaos has just ensued, she became even more confused. “Let all warriors learn from the fate of Mueez and fear you.” What? She had just been slaughtered by two average pkers whilst in the presence of some very menacing friends. Why should anyone fear her? What had happened to Mueez? And why was her log telling her about it?

Before she fully grasped what had actually gone down in that blood-filled volcano, Arrostil arrived in Defeatedville beside her, followed by Linkfan, and Mueez, slain a second time. After a few moments, each of them began to regroup, check their logs, and discovered to their shock, they had murdered each other! The two mysterious arrivals hadn’t killed a single soul! How had this happened?! They each thought they had been fighting for the honor of their friends, not FIGHTING THEIR FRIENDS! Still unbelieving, their gear lying forgotten in the wilderness, they checked the morbid noticeboard of recent kills. It was true. Squat had slain Mueez, and then fallen under the heavy 2-handed sword of Arrostil. Arrostil had accomplished the impossible, bringing out the killer in Linkfan, dying by his hand and leaving Linkfan alone in the volcano. But wait, what’s this? Who was Rubyrulecry and how dare she kill the peaceful, lovable Linkfan? A harmless level 7 bot had laid waste to our 126 maxed combat gentle giant Linkfan. The entire group was so overcome with laughter and disbelief, they spent a solid two hours standing in Edgeville in fits of embarrassed laughter, reliving and trying to understand the chaos, and making memories to last a lifetime.

And that, my friends, is the story of the day the friend chat leaders accidentally massacred each other, and still have no clue how or why it happened.

PostSubject: Re: F2pIronmanFC History Thread - The first five years!   F2pIronmanFC History Thread - The first five years! EmptySun Jan 26, 2020 10:05 am

On the glorious day of the twenty-first of December, two thousand and nineteen AD, a delightful spark of kinship ran through the F2P Friendchat.

Jointly, without a vocal word, an idea spread from person to person, infecting them with cheer and joy as the idea caught on and whispers were shared, spreading it further aloft on the wings of gossip, rumour, and perhaps a tinge of impish mischief.

Or perhaps a whole lot of it.

The day began with a rather astonishing in depth search in regards to book lice, as Mat was certain that they were following him, sneaking around in his walls, eighteen stories up, hammering about to keep him awake at night. It was in this moment that a story was spun. A tale was written. For how often does one get the making of a beautiful fairy-tale handed on a platter?

Yes, it was on the dawn of this dusty day that a joint idea between several key members of the FC's moderating team (and bystanders) formed a coalition.
And so, for the entire day, Mat was trolled, unaware that for every single member who could hear the noise, there somehow also was one who couldn't.

In the end, at the urgings of the kind-hearted Tree, the gig was revealed, the joke was played, and Mat was officially declared insane. Not for the imaginations of the book lice, but for having been driven to insanity by an entire day of trolling.

Ever heard some of the FC having a giggle about something that went totally over your head? Wonder what it’s all about? Read on to discover the hidden background to some of our very own FC ‘in’ jokes and memes.

The 89 fingers:
Yes it’s true! Mat officially has 89 fingers, and this is fairly frequently referred to. Originally it started with a discussion about whether thumbs should be included when saying how many fingers on our hands. Mat thought they should not be. However, Mat’s typos being what they are, instead of typing that he had only 8 fingers, he said that he had 89. And we never forgot! Perhaps he really has?

The fridge and the chisel:

Another Mat meme! Apparently, some time ago now, Mat once killed his fridge by attempting to de-ice it using a chisel. He may be super kind to animals, but he certainly isn’t to fridges! Don’t let him anywhere near yours!

The size of Mat’s bed:

We’ve grabbed your attention here, right? Apparently, when a new girl moved in next door to Mat, one of the first thing she asked him was how big his bed was. Mat made the mistake of telling us her question, and ever since, the size of his bed has been the source of much speculation and hilarity!

Tree puns:
If you’ve been in FC any length of time, you will have stumbled on at least one session of conversation incorporating numerous puns relating to trees. Poor Treemaid/Arbre de Vie however, has heard them all before and despairs when this happens! For some strange reason, this doesn’t seem to discourage others from their attempts to find that one unique tree related pun that no one has ever made before. All I can say is, leaf her alone guys!

Floris the Discord power abuuuuuser!:
Yes our Discord was created by Florisvbelle for the use of the FC. On the whole, he leaves the organisation of the channels/roles etc up to the FC Mod and CA team. However, it is a necessary burden we must bear to allow him his freedom every so often to change our user names temporarily for his own amusement (and sometimes for ours too!). This notably happens at Christmas, when suddenly some of us find ourselves with Christmas related Discord names. Thank goodness though, we can always change them back.

King of typos:
We all know who this is going to be about, don’t we! Yes, yet again, our own beloved Mat Mase/Mueez! Often typing from his phone, his autocorrect has on multiple occasions given us hilarious results. Even when he’s not on his phone, he does seem to suffer from typoitus more than the average FC user! One of his most famous typos that keeps being brought up again in Discord, was his 'firt fry muthrooms', apparently a cooking instruction, but a super cute typo! Oh and there’s the super cute Mat version of ‘grrrr’: ‘tghrrrrr’! Must be such a struggle for him typing with 89 fingers! Wink

Accidental 99s:
Please no! Not another Mat meme? Yes, on more than one occasion, our very own Mat has managed to get a level 99 in a skill unintentionally, bless his little Matted socks! We’ve come to expect that now. For every 99 party he has, there’ll be one that got away.

The Thumb:
One of our more elusive FC players, CU/C hrisso (known as Dr Chris on Discord), once made the mistake of posting a picture of just the very top of his head on Discord. Tree, trying to work out what she was seeing, and failing, asked if it was a thumb. If you see anyone calling Dr Chris ‘Thumb’, you now know why.

The cougar?:
Now we all know that in reality, our very own Mirai Leah is a happily married woman. However, for the entertainment of us all, she does seem to have the knack of playing a predatory role very convincingly! Many of the young men in our Discord have found themselves the object of her attentions at some stage, but particularly Mat, who rumour has it, regularly spends time with Leah in her Dungeon!

The secretive Mat!

Now we all know Mat is a very private person, which of course makes him all the more intriguing!  The more he tries to evade our questions, the more we delight in devilishly devious ways to trick him into revealing personal details: his age, his location, the size of his bed! Wink No better sport than to think of sneaky ways to get him to reveal more than he had intended! Try it! You won’t regret it!

Arne's plants:
They’re taking over! He has them on every window sill, every book case, every conceivable horizontal surface in his abode. Hot peppers from smuggled seeds gifted by a Sardinian nun, avocado trees grown from the stones, treasured and watered for months until they finally germinated. They are his children, so criticise them at your peril!

Socks in bed:
No sane person does this. Right? And if we did, we certainly wouldn’t let on! Except for Arne/intoxical, who not only wears socks in bed, but shouts aloud to the whole FC about this sock related deviancy - frequently! Someone should tell him to put a sock in it! Would that make him ‘insocksical’ I wonder?

Avocados:
Yes we often avo laugh at our most famous FC vegan’s expense - bless his avocado soul for taking it in such good spirit! Our own Mat has so well embraced our good natured vegan teases, that he has adopted the avocado as his own personal emoticon mark of approval on our Discord channels. Can we avo round of applause for Mat please, for being such a good sport?

Bowstrings!
Never to be said without the exclamation mark! This is a nostalgic part of our history, from the days when dear Alison Elmshaper in Burthorpe would allow us to buy 15 bowstrings from her every 43 minutes. Regular as clockwork, Ivory Shark would shout out to the FC “bowstrings!” without any further explanation or need for it. We all knew what she meant, and we all appreciated it! Long gone are those days now (may Alison Elmshaper rest in peace), but the sound of our Ivy’s imaginary voice echoing in the halls of our minds, will ever ring out with "bowstrings!".

And to round this off with some extra giggles, take a look at some of the FC chat goofs collected by Leah on this thread:

The lasting impression from the first five years of our FC though, has been one of friendships, fun, and mutual support. It is the body of FC regulars, both past and present, who contribute in many different ways to make it what it is today, a welcoming in-game home for all f2p irons (and a fair number of others too who are drawn by our good-natured and supportive interactions!). Give yourselves all a big pat on the back and raise a metaphorical glass with the FC Mod and CA teams, to the next five years of F2pIronmanFC!

Ahh after reading some of this, firstly need to say Thank you to Tree. Without you there would be no Fc and am glad there is such a great place for ironman to hang out and filled with such an amazing bunch of people.

Also noticing me and Mat have more in common than I thought, we have the same name and we seem to randomly bump into each other in game quite frequently like the amount of times I've logged in and hes been just a few spaces away like what are the odds....

Also reading up on the killing a fridge with a chisel, well...

I also have killed a fridge only about a month or 2 ago and don't recall this story of Mat killing a fridge. Well it rings vague bells but when I got to work on a very quiet morning saw in a handover from yesterday that the staff fridge door wouldn't close with so much ice build up basically 80% of the freezer space was overrun by ice and was slowly making puddle on floor as door couldn't close.

So as being quiet day thought i'd clear the ice usually just leave door open to defrost but was soo much ice and was bored at work. decided to get a metal scraper and a screwdriver and pick away at the ice, half way through found an ice tray buried inside then I got to the tray was a small bar fridge one door with a freezer compartment built in and thought the tray was well just an tray and had no freezer components little did I know there where tubes of gas running through them until my screwdriver punctured one of these tubes and freezer started to hiss at me.

RIP Fridge

Luckily wasn't my fridge and work didn't ask me to pay for it =)

Mat's are just fridge killers thought I'd share my story, I feel his pain.

Will be listening closely to all Mat's stories from now on to try and learn from his mistakes, as I may be in to a similar situation not far into the future.

hahaha miss-read that hashtag as #FridgeKillerUnit

Thought you allocated us into an elite squad called it Fridge Killer Unit, the FKU like the FBI but better...

Watch out we might just come by knocking on your front door, chisels and screwdrivers in hand offering the best deicing service around...

It was nice to see my name in the history thread. I have very fond memories of this friends chat. Still remember the day I met Tree and joined the brand new group a few days after being founded. I might have some pictures from days past, I'll try to find them.

It's awesome to see how this chat has grown. Warm hugs to all from your favourite argentinean ex-mod!

Lovely to hear from you again Kaiser! You'll always have a special place our FC history as our first FC user to help out with Moderating the chat. I hope you don't mind, but I've copied an extract from your a post of yours from some time ago that you made elsewhere, to here (below). It's nice to include your perspective as one of the first players to join us five years ago!

My dear ironfriends.

Some of you know who I am, some may have never seen me online. I'm Kaiser, the first mod of f2pironmanfc. With this, I'm not saying that I'm better, or nicer, or more important than any of you. It's just my part in the history of this friend's chat.

Two years and four months ago, I was running around Edgeville (god knows why), when someone caught my attention. This player started telling me about a newly created f2p ironman community, and she invited me to take a look at it. This way, my journey started. With time, we started getting more and more members, until the day we had to scroll down to see all who were online at the same time. I remember the first days of many of you, the good moments we had, and the bad. When WE were the wiki, and found new ways for skilling, combat or moneymaking.

Happy anniversary!

I'm a bit late, but I've enjoyed reading this thread!
I am so grateful for Tree (and Mat) for setting up and moderating this FC. Before joining the FC, I had never played an Ironman account (apart from making one and purposely dying). For me, the community on RuneScape has always driven me to grind harder and go further, while making friends along the way. F2P has been dear to my heart for years, and when I was invited to F2pIronmanFC I was gobsmacked by the sheer bond these ironmen have had created. A new world opened for me, so to say.

I started visiting the FC more often, when not Dungeoneering using the L0lf2p FC (where I now often reside), met new people and hung out with them. However, I still did not own an Ironman account. At one point I got asked to be a FC Moderator, and after some hesitation (at the fact I did not actually play an Ironman account), I decided to join. Not long after, I created my first official Hardcore Ironman "Moley", which made me show the real joy of F2P Ironman.

Despite still switching between FCs, I had gained a soft spot for F2pIronmanFC and its community, although after Moley had died in November 2016, I stopped playing the account completely, and focussed on my main account which also had gone P2P (worst regret of my RuneScape 'career'). At this point, I decided to leave the FC Moderation team.

Then Chaudret was born. March 2017. I had new plans. I wanted to limit myself to stay at 10 Hitpoints while raising any Combat stat that was possible. I visited the FC more often again, attended events (both in-game events and FC created events), and was asked back on the moderation team after some time. Chaudret is, to this day, my personal favourite account, and the FC definitely help me get the perseverance to go on, getting close to (HC)IM who at one point were unreachable.

Although I haven't played RS much since October 2019, after killing Chaudret, I still occasionally visit the FC to catch up with the regulars who are still going strong to this day.

Once again, Tree, Mat, all the (ex-)moderators, Community Activists and regulars, you're all dear to my heart and I am glad to have met you.

To another five years.

Gh1 Gh5, Gm3 Gr6.

Gg2.

Ivar.

Thank you so much for the mention, I'm not deserving! I'm so happy I've been part of the very first years of the FC. Although I am not as active as before, my memories of this warming community will never fade. It has helped me numerous times in finding motivation for completing my goals and dreams, beit online or irl.
Thanks again! See you in game (maybe... :p)
