In Memoriam (HCIM Deaths)

‘Twas fair August in Gielenor, Narnodian one day
Then took to mind to sally forth some ankous for to slay.
With skull sceptre he tellied to the deepest darkest floor
And from that room, he tiptoed on to peep around a door.

On opening it, he saw right there some ghosts and ankous fierce
So hid behind some skellie bones, the anks with spells to pierce.
He hit them once, he hit them twice, his spells rang round the room
As left and right the ankous fell in Deaths dark deadly swoon.

Alas there were then powers at work o’er which he held no sway,
For deadly disconnection struck and stole his life away!
Narnodian for you we grieve, and yet ‘tis not the end
A regular iron Narnodian, to us, Death deigns to send.

RIP Narnodian
We will remember!

‘Tis a fair day in Falador. The sun now shining bright
Reflects  in dazzling spendour on the castle of white knights.
‘Tis hard now to imagine the dread deed that here took place
That wrest from us the radiant sight of Chaudret’s noble face.

That day, that day of horror! These white stones were splashed in red
Which flowed as if a bloody crown round Chaudret’s sticken head.
“How could this be…” I hear you cry, “our hero lying dead!?”
The tale though thick with dark intrigue is begging to be said.

Our hero once received a note from a knight he’d known for years
Together they had soldiered, shared their laughter and their tears.
The scribbled note begged for his help - was desperate in its tone,
So Chaudret rushed to the castle white, though the reason was unknown.

Alas! For little did he know, his friend concealed inside
His heart, a seed of jealousy - for Chaudret’s fame spread wide.
He’d nurtured it and watered it, until, within his head
He determined that his noble friend, Chaudret, should now be dead.

When Chaudret came to the castle white, his ‘friend’ leapt from a wall
And raising high a sword of white, he struck, saw Chaudret fall!
Our hero crumpled to his knees with disbelief aghast,
His so called friend, then struck again, and Chaudret breathed his last.

Who would have guessed a Knight of White, a heart so black would bear,
In jealousy to slay his friend, bereft of love or care?
The White knights seized their false comrade and dragged him to his fate.
They hung him high, and yet, alas, for Chaud, it was too late.

Take heed my friends, from jealousy, this lesson must we learn
That those who feed and nurture it, will suffer in their turn.

RIP Chaudret

Always hardcore in our hearts, you're still the man Ivar <3

Great in Wisdom, was Athene, as her name declares to all
Yet her wisdom could not save her, for DC brought on her fall.
Clothed in mystic armour with a Nat staff in her hand,
She sought to save fair Falador from the blight that scoured its land.

Down through fetid tunnels she crept in dreadful dark
Her target oft' had slain her friends - the Mole! That was her mark!
With spell on spell she fought him and brought him near to death
Yet suddenly, was whisked away! She could not see the rest!

The jar of life, her safety line, least that was what she thought,
Yet she found out to her horror that it never had been bought!
For when she tried to play again, to finish off the mole
She found that she was blocked from game - had lost her hardcore soul!

Alas for fair Athene! Our grief shall have no balm!
We rue the day that DC took Athene from our arms!

RIP Athene
We will remember!

pity the demise of pro-israel,
little did he know what would entail,
as the promise of riches grew stronger,
he couldn't hold back any longer.

into the depths of the dwarven mine he did bundle,
luminite shined,
pickaxes hurdled,
as a wild king scorpion appeared he did stumble.

pro-isreal failed to take flight,
much to his own plight,
the scorpion devoured him without regret,
this mournful day we shall never forget.

Redrein was bold and fearless
His prowess he doubted not.
On hearing of the giant mole
His blood was broiling hot!

Down to the lair of this foul beast
He bravely ventured hence
Yet rocks were falling, falling,
On his helmet raining dents!

One last and weighty rock
Then crushed him to the ground
Like rain of red was Redrein’s blood
Which splattered all around.

So now’s the time for weeping
As we remember Red
For all our dreams of life and joy
Lie motionless and dead

The King Black Dragon is a fiercesome beast with hide as black as night,
Three heads, six eyes, like glowing coals; all tremble at the sight.
A brave young knight named Hospiz ventured forth to bring its fall
Amidst a group of valiant hearts who answered to his call.

Link, Sam, Records, Fishtank, Hospiz - champions five
Yet one of them was fated not to leave the lair alive.
Alas! Poor Hospiz! Bitten by the dreaded plague of lag
Was frozen to the spot helpless, though ne’er did bravery flag.

The second head of dragon, bit him hard with teeth and fire
And caused our valiant, helpless knight to fall into the mire.
And as he fell, his friends looked on, aghast, and helpless all
To save their comrade from his journey to Valhalla’s hall.

Dear Hospiz, we will ne’er forget your hardcore bravery,
And yet rejoice we still shall see your iron heart play free!

RIP Hospiz

Beautiful, R.I.P Hospiz.

The chaos elemental is a great and fearsome foe:
An arachnidian monstrous beast, one eyed with hellish glow.
To kill this beast two heroes went with grim determination
Armed to the hilt to range their foe to his extermination.

Brave Syta and brave Bosa, both repeatedly did fight him,
With confidence in their prowess to valiantly smite him.
As each friend fought him side by side, brought strength to the other’s weakness,
They caused the light of good to shine within the Wildy’s bleakness.

And yet, that very partnership upon which they had relied
It then turned out had brought the ruin for which all Gielenor cried.
For Bosa, struck by dread DC, had vanished from the game.
Syta, alone, was under fire, and could not do the same!

Relentlessly the beast attacked with mage and range and melee.
Syta was hit too fast and hard, could not then death delay.
Our hardcore friend then lost his life, for which we’re in despair;
Our tears shall fall like waterfalls, our hearts will ne’er repair.

RIP Syta
We will remember!

Gotta have some bright side to the disappointment of losing your hcim after all!

The Stronghold of Security is a dark and dangerous place;
The thought of ghosts and ankous, make many a warrior swoon!
And yet one warrior ventured there, one brave and fair of face
The finest of all Gielenor: a hardcore, named Dragoon.

Bearing orb and mystic wand, with robes from batwing spun,
He roved through caves and corridors, through paths that took him deep
Within the earth. The foes he met, he slew or caused to run.
His spells were dark and powerful, with death’s dark scythe to reap.

Then finally he reached a room where ghosts and ankous roam.
He flung his spells triumphantly; they fell around his feet.
In confidence, his thoughts then strayed to friends and food at home.
Alas! T’was his undoing! His fate was now complete!

For ankou upon ankou, in hordes did flock around.
They smote him and they cut him, while his thoughts were far away.
And when at last his thoughts returned, in great dismay he found
He’d fallen hard in Death’s caress, without a chance to pray.

Dragoon, we will remember you. Your death was not in vain.
We’ll sing your praise and tell your tale until you rise again!

Xo was a warrior, brave as any could be.
He ventured forth, one sunny day, into the Deep Wildy.
The Chaos Elemental, was fixed upon his mind
- To free the world of this fiercesome beast for the sake of all mankind.

He met a few pkers, they fought a violent round
Till finally our brave Xo then cast them to the ground.
Spurred on by this success, he met his final foe!
Eyes firm with concentration, he drew his stout crossbow.

He aimed it at the creature’s eye, before his strength could flag.
Alas my friends, he then was struck by the greater foe of lag!
The creature pounced, our friend knew not, for he was cast from sight!
When able to, he logged back in, then realised his dire plight!

The Chaos Elemental, had seized upon his chance -
Xo’s brave heart was skewered with claw as sharp as any lance!
Xo, we will remember you, your heart, with ours, is one.
We won’t forget our red-skulled friend ‘til Gielnor’s days be done.
