Batch 1! Imagespam. You guys get to see my background + setup and timestamps. This set (and a number of ones to come) is from 2014, from creation up to my 500 milestone. You also get to know my previous name before my ~2year hiatus, after which I returned and Jagex had stolen my name, prompting my rebranding as VaelPotatoes.

Success ^____^ October 20th, 2014. I held this for perhaps 2 days? My plan then was to try amassing materials and continue leveling up, attempting first hcim to 99 crafting. As a spoiler, it didn't work, and I am easily distracted D: If only I had the foresight to use the pure dg craft method, alas.

99 Smithing, a weekish after the skill event. Seems like I have a habit of getting either 99+ or exactly 98 from a skill event, I can live with both :3

Circa August of 2019, and a small detail that I hate keeping secret and have only mentioned briefly. I will always always stress that all Irons are just that: Iron. There's no inequality amongst irons, hardcore or otherwise, and we're all playing with the same ruleset. The choice of having a Jar of Light as a hardcore essentially just equates hardcore to haven't died x times yet, which seems like so much a semantics detail, since so many deaths are the result of chance (like a pker appearing) or a disconnection, which has no bearing on skill level and is purely a factor of misfortune.

Thus, Iron is Iron.

Power to those who persist after de-Hardcoring, but having played Runescape all my life, I've made the pact that, when the time comes, to just...let go. To let it be over. It's not a sacrifice or anything so noble, but I'd consider my passing to be the end of the book of Runescape, and that's it. I've got 3 lives remaining and 0 deaths, so it's just wind and talk for now, but one day. We'll see
