Bestiary:
Barbasts: Monkey like creatures inhabiting incredibly dense forests. Pack creatures that absolutely loathe magic and are immune to most forms of it. They possess tough hides and jump from trunk to trunk, their powerful digits allowing them to dig into the wood to increase their velocity when agitated. Very aggressive.



Combat is split up in three major sections:
Physical ability: pretty obvious. Speed, strength, toughness, everything directly related to the body and it's natural ability.
Magical ability: using magical energy to alter things (can vary from sending out a fireball, using scrying spells, healing spells, to very subtle enhancements. Magic is a very broad field and some people have an aptitude for a specific field and will be able to handle certain spells with more ease.
Aura: mental control. It functions as a sixth sense. It does not find it's origin in magical ability, but rather is something every person is born with. It can be turned into a weapon through training. You can use it to transmit a an emotion or feeling to other people (the anger and threat of violence that Gaelus launched during the fight with the barbasts). An other application is that it can be used to detect other auras from a distance. It functions as a two sided ESP (extra sensory perception). While a useful tool to master, it requires significant self control and has no ability to influence things directly (it cannot interfere with anything physical, were magic can)
