Loot from 1000 Cockroach Soldiers

Hey everyone!

Today I decided kill 1000 cockroach soldiers after I was reminded that Addy and Mithril ores may become super useful after the Smithing/Mining rework.

So if you are interested here are the details!
(was going to make a short video, but my audio recording isn't working properly. Sorry about that)

I recorded the kill count by tracking the constitution experience I have gained and set an xp target to notify me of when I had killed 1000 of them. The kills took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete, in the secure area of the stronghold (where the reward chest is located), using a nature staff casting fire blast. With my gear I did not need to use food so could kill as many as possible in each trip and banking to note my items again.

Gear setup:


The total loot (with high alch values) Note that coins have a high alch value of 0, so the total value comes to 591k



By the looks of it, you can get 250 Mithril ores per hour, a lot more than you can mine in f2p (main reason why I decided to do this in the first place )
The rune drops look like they are approximately 1/50.
Addy ores have a little less than a 1/10 drop chance.
If you High-Alch every drop you get, killing cockroach soldiers will be around 214k coins per hour.

^That's very interesting information Mase! Especially that the drop rates of mith ore are faster than mining it. Does the same apply to addy ore?

Not for addy, if you are hopping worlds to mine it (unfortunately)
