Hello everyone,

I just carried out some experiments with Coconut Shy in order to determine, once and for all, which projectile is best to throw during the Happy Hours and Heatwaves. The outcome, I must say, was pretty surprising. But allow me to break up the numbers...

According to the RS Wiki :

- Balls grant 59400 XP per thermometer, and it takes 27.8 minutes to fill up the gauge. This amounts to saying that balls provide (very accurately) : 128201,4388489209 XP per hour. (To calculate this, simply divide 60 minutes by 27.8, and multiply the result by 59400.)

- Cabbages grant 99000 XP per thermometer, and it takes 47.2 to fill up the gauge. Hence, cabbages provide 125847,4576271186 XP per hour. (Divide 60 minutes by 47.2, and multiply the result by 99000.)

-  Chinchompas grant 42420 XP per thermometer, and it takes 22.7 minutes to fill up the gauge. Hence, chins provide 112123,3480176211 XP per hour. (Divide 60 minutes by 22.7, and multiply the result by 42420.)

! Note that these rates are obtained with a Ranged level of 99. At my current level, that is, 93 Ranged, I managed ~124k xp/h while throwing balls, and ~111k xp/h while throwing chins. I didn't bother to try out cabbages. I didn't rely on any boost other than the antisun potion's.

Thus, contrary to popular (if not universal) belief, according to which chins provide the best XP during happy hours, it turns out that balls actually offer a considerably higher amount of XP in the long run. Moreover, not only are chins not the best projectile to throw, but they are even the worst XP-wise!

TL;DR: STOP THROWING CHINS!!!

No worries! I feel bad for having thrown chins for so long though... T_T

Surprinsingly (or not?), I'm having a hard time trying to convince players that balls provide the best XP rates... If anyone wants to carry out more tests, please do, and feel free to post your results here.
